JT Logistics Builds on Culture Amid COVID

In less than two years, JT Logistics tripled its operational footprint to more than 2.5 million square feet, acquired seven additional warehouses, and grew its team to 140 employees - all while navigating the challenges of a global pandemic.

Relaunched in May 2020 by Jamie Cord, the company was named for the first initials of himself and co-owner Troy Strawhecker. What started as four warehouses at the beginning of 2020 rapidly grew to nine by year's end, with 31 new employees added along the way.

Growth Through People

While many companies contracted during the pandemic, JT Logistics leaned into growth - not just in square footage, but in people. The company's culture-first approach proved to be a competitive advantage, attracting talent and retaining customers during one of the most turbulent periods in supply chain history.

The company also launched a transportation arm, which by 2022 operated 18 tractors and 36 trailers, adding another dimension to JT's end-to-end logistics offering.

Ambitious Expansion Plans

With a five-year growth plan calling for expansion into 14 major U.S. cities, JT Logistics set its sights on Minneapolis, Omaha, and Reno, Nevada as the next markets - with Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Columbus, Indianapolis, Seattle, and Tacoma on the horizon.

The rapid growth reflects not just market demand, but a leadership team that sees opportunity where others see uncertainty.
